Homeopathy benefits everyone: Several studies have indicated that using homoeopathy in general practice in cases of eczema, asthma and migraine as well as anxiety, stress and depression reduced the number of GP’s appointments, consultant referrals and lowered conventional prescription bills (Haidvogl et al 2001; Witt et al 2005). So even if you are not a homeopathic user you will benefit!
Recent Study: The largest and most recent evidence for the benefits of Homeopathy is a study by Bristol Homeopathic Hospital on 23,000 of its patients, carried out from 1997 to 2003. This found that 70% of its patients reported a clinical improvement, which is a huge percentage, especially given that many of the patients had conditions that had previously not been helped by conventional medicine.(Society of Homeopaths. 2007).
Yes - but is it homeopathy or a placebo?
David Taylor Reilly and colleagues conducted a series of trials, over a number of years, in patients with hay fever, asthma and perennial rhinitis that demonstrated a significant difference between the placebo and homeopathic groups. (Reilly et al, 1986; Reilly et al 1994; Taylor et al, 2000).
